Event narrative

Tide levels at Sabine Pass reached 2.03 feet above MHHW at time of high tide during the evening of the 18th. This caused minor flooding of Highway 87 between Sabine Pass and Port Arthur.

Wider weather episode

A strong south flow developed ahead of a cold front. This drove tide levels to around 2 feet above MHHW at high tide at Sabine Pass.
