The tide level at Cameron reached 2.01 feet above MHHW at high tide. This caused minor flooding on Highway 82 near the courthouse for a few hours.

Wider weather episode

Strong south winds developed ahead of an approaching cold front pushing the tides above normal. The high tides produced minor flooding along the Cameron Parish coast.
