Winter Storm in Western Chippewa County, Michigan

Photos of private citizen's snow stake in Eckerman, MI area via social media. Initial update around 1920EST November 25 with approximately 5 inches of new snow. Updated again at 0455EST November 26 with approximately 8 inches total. Trout Lake received ten inches of snowfall overnight. Tahquamenon Falls State Park had a Twenty-four-hour snowfall of 8.5 inches ending November 29th.

A deepening surface low pressure system moved into the Upper Great Lakes late in the day on November 25, 2024, bringing accumulating wet snow to the eastern U.P. of Michigan. Accumulations were minimized south of the Mackinac Bridge due to warmer temperatures and precipitation falling as rain or a mix at times.
