Twenty-four-hour snowfall of 8.5 inches ending November 29th at Tahquamenon Falls State Park. Including the previous day, 48-hour totals as high as 14 inches of snow with a snow depth of 11 inches.
Wider weather episode
A deepening surface low pressure system moved into the Upper Great Lakes late in the day on November 25, 2024, bringing accumulating wet snow to the eastern U.P. of Michigan. Accumulations were minimized south of the Mackinac Bridge due to warmer temperatures and precipitation falling as rain or a mix at times.
