The mesonet station PC041 Salmon River measured a peak gust of 63 mph on 12/18 0200 PST and was near or above 58mph 0100 to 0300 PST. ODT38 Yaquina Bary Bridge measured a peak gust of 70 mph on 12/18 0154 and was near or above 58 mph 12/18 0100 to 0300.

Wider weather episode

The passage of a warm frontal boundary and mature surface low facilitated high winds along the coast into the coast range. This aforementioned frontal boundary also brought a rise in snow levels increasing river levels, especially those west of the Willamette valley to the coast.
