Event narrative

An area of low pressure moved across the Outer Banks and out to sea on the night of November 14 into November 15. Winds became northeast ahead of the low and northwest behind the low as it moved offshore on November 15. This resulted in moderate coastal flooding across Virginia Beach. The Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel reached 5.63 feet MLLW at 6:30 AM on November 15. Lynnhaven Inlet reached 5.48 feet MLLW at 8:24 AM on November 15.
