Visibility of one eighth of a mile was reported in Madera. Webcams indicated visibility below 1000 feet in Madera.

Wider weather episode

Some low level moisture advected into the central San Joaquin Valley from the north during the morning of January 30. Since clear skies and light winds were prevalent, some dense fog developed in and around Madera near sunrise and impacted travel on SR 99. The fog dissipated by late morning.
