An east-southeast wind gust of 36 knots was measured by a WeatherFlow station at Alligator Reef Light.

Isolated convective showers within the outer periphery of the circulation of Tropical Storm Rafael over the northwest Caribbean Sea produced gale-force wind gusts along the reef tract offshore Islamorada as well as in Florida Bay.
