Snow Squall. A snow squall moved from the Nashwauk-Keewatin area to the county border. Webcams in the area showed quick reductions in visibility and rapidly accumulating snow on area roadways.

The wider storm

A strong cold front moved across northeastern Minnesota during the afternoon of the 17th. A few intense areas of snowfall developed ahead of the front and brought snow squalls that quickly reduced visibility and created quickly accumulating snow on roadways per area DOT webcams.
