A mesonet site named UP695 near Aroya, Colorado recorded a 65 mph wind gust. An additional wind gust of 59 mph was also recorded 2 E Arapahoe at a mesonet site named UP694.

Wider weather episode

Strong winds developed across portions of eastern Colorado during the day. Wind gusts ranging from 54 mph to 65 mph were recorded across Cheyenne county. The strong winds also led to some dust storm conditions near the town of Kit Carson.
