Numerous wind gusts in excess of 50 mph were observed across the area with scattered power outages and branches downed by winds.
Wider weather episode
Strong low pressure was located across Hudson and James Bay on January 27th while a cold front from this system approached northern NY. Strong WSW wind gusts of 45 to 60+ mph accompanied the front across northern NY which led to scattered power outages.
