Klondike Highway RWIS at White Pass recorded temperatures in the teens below zero with sustained wind speeds of more that 20mph during the early morning hours of Saturday February 1st. This resulted in wind chills as cold as 41 degrees below zero.
Wider weather episode
Cold air moved out of Canada and interior Alaska and outflow winds brought wind chills down to warning criteria levels at White Pass.
