An area of low pressure, known as a clipper, moved across northern New England and northern NY on January 29th. Snow overspread northern NY during the late evening hours of January 28th and ended by the early afternoon hours of January 29th.
A widespread 2 to 4 inches of snow fell across northern NY with 4 to 8 inches across portions of the Adirondacks and 1 to 2 inches in the Champlain Valley.
