Storm total snow accumulations ranged from 5 to 8 inches.

Fast moving low pressure intensified south of the region during the night of the 23rd. The low then tracked across the Gulf of Maine and along the Downeast coast through the 24th. Snow developed from the late evening of the 23rd through the early morning hours of the 24th. Snow then diminished...from northwest to southeast...through the 24th. Warning criteria snow accumulations occurred through the morning of the 24th. Storm total snow accumulations across Downeast areas generally ranged from 6 to 10 inches. A persistent meso-scale snowband produced snow fall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour across southern and central portions of Piscataquis county. Snow totals in this area ranged from 7 to 12 inches. Snow totals diminished northward across the remainder of the region...tapering to 1 to 3 inches across northern areas furthest from the low track.
