Snow accumulations up to two inches resulted in slippery roadways, and some vehicle accidents were reported.

A narrow, slow-moving band of snow developed during the day on December 12th, resulting in accumulating snow primarily north of I-72. The heaviest totals of 2 to 3.5 occurred in an east-west band extending from Fulton County to northern Vermilion County. The snow resulted in slippery roads, and at least 17 vehicle accidents were reported across eastern Illinois, mainly on I-57, I-72, and I-74.
