Natures Kennel seven miles north of McMillan received 12.5 inches of lake effect snow over the two-day period ending on the morning of the 2nd. The kennel measured a four-day lake effect snowfall total of 40 inches which was confirmed via Facebook comments. There was also a public report from Newberry of 19 inches of lake effect snow over the 72-hour period ending at noon on the 1st.

Wider weather episode

Arctic air spilling across Lake Superior continued to generate moderate to occasionally heavy lake effect snow into early December over the northwest to north wind snow belts.
