A light snow event led to 1.2 inches of snow just north of the state line in southwestern Lee County.

Wider weather episode

A cold front passing through led to showers switching over to snowfall on the backside of the system as strong cold air advection moved through the region. A light snow accumulated in portions of southwest Virginia.
