Coop observer reports 6.2 inches new snow.

A moist southwesterly flow aloft overrunning a cold surface airmass across much of the region resulted in a period of moderate to heavy snow January 3rd and 4th. Snow amounts added up to around a foot in several lower elevation locations before the event concluded.
