Snotel equipment at Crystal Lake estimated 9 inches new snow over the 24 hour period ending 3 PM January 11.

Upper level troughing initially brought a round of strong winds across Central and North-central Montana before the event transitioned to a long duration snowfall event, mostly for the mountains and northerly upslope areas of Central Montana. Areas in the Bears Paw and around Lewistown received 2 feet of new snow or more.
