Snotel equipment, the public, and a trained spotter all reported at least 9 inches new snow, including a peak report of 30 inches from the trained spotter 7 miles SE of Rocky Boy in the Bears Paw.

Upper level troughing initially brought a round of strong winds across Central and North-central Montana before the event transitioned to a long duration snowfall event, mostly for the mountains and northerly upslope areas of Central Montana. Areas in the Bears Paw and around Lewistown received 2 feet of new snow or more.
