Severe driving conditions was hoisted Saturday morning along Highway 83 from Ferndale south towards Condon. This event continued into February 1. Storm total snowfall included 2.5 inches in West Glacier and 5.6 inches in Essex.

Wider weather episode

Very cold ground temperatures combined with rainfall caused wet roads to ice up from north-central Idaho into western Montana.
