Multiple social media reports of radial ice accumulation of 0.2 to 0.5 inches accumulated on elevated surfaces and on the east side of the surfaces. These reports were from 7 SSE New Almelo and 2 E Hill City. The amounts based on the pictures were radial amounts. There was ongoing freezing rain, freezing drizzle, freezing fog and snow during the event. 2.5 inches of snow was reported 2 E Hill City.

Wider weather episode

A winter storm consisting of a mixture of freezing drizzle, freezing fog resulting in thick rime ice and light snow occurred across NW Kansas. Reports of up to one half inch in radial ice accumulation was reported via social media pictures across the area along with snow up to 2 inches.
