Event narrative

There were numerous reports of over a foot of snow in the Salt and Wyoming Range, including a maximum of 20 inches at the Willow Creek SNOTEL site.

Wider weather episode

Another Pacific weather system moved into western Wyoming and brought another round of moderate to heavy snow to western Wyoming. The heaviest snow fell in the Salt and Wyoming Range where 20 inches of new snow fell at the Willow Creek SNOTEL site. At the Jackson Hole Ski Resort, 16 inches of new snow fell with 12 inches at the Larson Creek SNOTEL site in the Wind River Range. In the lower elevations, 12 inches of new snow fell north of Jackson with 13 inches to the south of Alpine.
