Observers across much of Baraga County measured between 2 to 4 inches of lake effect snow and blowing snow through the period. Baraga and L'Anse Schools were on a two-hour delay on the 12th.

Wider weather episode

As series of upper disturbances moving across a cold Arctic air mass in place over the Upper Great Lakes brought heavy lake enhanced snow to the north-northwest wind snow belts of Upper Michigan from the 10th into the 13th.
