National Gridded Snowfall Analysis indicated storm totals of 6 to 12 inches at elevations between 4000 and 5000 feet, with up to 24 inches over the higher terrain. Precipitation amounts in the zone included 1.29 inches at Etna, 1.42 inches at Callahan #2, and 1.07 inches at Quartz Hill.
The wider storm
A low pressure system moving into the west coast brought heavy snow to elevations above 4000 feet in northern California. A secondary, trailing disturbance brought an additional, lighter snow accumulation during the day of 12/14.
