A winter storm produced freezing rain and sleet across much of Fayette County resulting in 0.13 of ice accumulation in Fayette, IA. Radar estimates were anywhere from 0.1 to 0.2 of ice accumulation across the county.

Wider weather episode

Snow and sleet quickly transitioned over to freezing rain across portions of northeast Iowa during the afternoon of December 14th. This resulted in ice accumulations from 0.1 to 0.3 across Fayette and Clayton counties prior to the storm exiting the region later in the evening.
