Event narrative

Snowfall amounts of 12 to 16 inches were commonplace at the Jackson Hole Ski Resort and at numerous SNOTEL sites, with near 19 inches in the Tetons.

Wider weather episode

A Pacific system moved into western Wyoming and brought heavy snow to the Tetons, Salt and Wyoming Range and the Star Valley. Snowfall amounts of 12 to 16 inches were common in the mountains. In the Star Valley, snowfall totals ranged from 8 to 15 inches.
