The Hogg Pass SNOTEL at 4800 ft recorded 12 inches of snowfall between 0300 1/31 and 1300 01/31 with 12 inches hit 1300 01/31.

Wider weather episode

A strong cutoff low and accompanying frontal boundary dug southward into the region from off the coast of British Columbia bringing heavy snowfall to portions of the Oregon Cascades.
