An area of 2 to 4 inches fell across the county. 3.8 inches of snow was measured 2.5 miles SW of Frederic, WI.

A surface low tracked southeast from southern Alberta through North Dakota and continued into southern Wisconsin. This was a standard Clipper-type low with limited moisture. The primary accumulating snow started during the evening hours on January 11th, with most of the snow falling overnight into Sunday morning. The result was a swath of 1-4 inches of snow along I-94 in western Wisconsin. The highest snowfall amount was 3.8 inches in Frederic, WI (Polk).
