A ten hour period of one quarter mile visibility was reported by the observation at the Pratt airport.

The wider storm

Widespread dense fog developed across most of central and into parts of western Kansas during the overnight hours of January 30th. Many of the observations were reporting visibility dropped to one eighth of a mile in the triangle from Hays to Dodge City and Great Bend during the morning commute time (7-8 am).
