Hail of dime to penny size fell.

A cold front crossed the region the final day of 2024. Showers and storms developed along and in advance of the front. Thanks in part to the relatively low freezing level, hail occurred with a few of the storms. Additionally, as the front crossed the area, some strong gusty winds accompanied it. Gusts around 35 mph blew off the roof of a car wash in Marion.
