ASOS sttion KCTB Cut Bank Airport measured two 58 mph gusts. Additionally, Montana mesonet station Mission Lake S (ACEMISSI) measured sustained winds, averaged over an hour, of 41 mph.

Wider weather episode

Upper level troughing initially brought a round of strong winds across Central and North-central Montana before the event transitioned to a long duration snowfall event, mostly for the mountains and northerly upslope areas of Central Montana. Areas in the Bears Paw and around Lewistown received 2 feet of new snow or more.
