Generally 6 to 9 inches of snow fell, with some of the highest accumulations being 8.6 inches in Boxford, 7.5 inches in Methuen, and 7.1 inches in Haverhill.

Wider weather episode

A weak area of low pressure took shape over the Ohio Valley and raced NE while a weak secondary low formed right over the benchmark bringing widespread moderate to heavy snow to the region. Generally 4 to 6 inches fell over southern New England except 6 to 8 inches over northern and especially northeast MA.
