Event narrative

Snowfall amounts across the area widely ranged from 2 to 10 inches. Localized heavier of 12 to 14 inches occurred just northwest of Horsetooth Reservoir. The snowfall led to snow covered and slippery roads.

Wider weather episode

Snow moved into northern Colorado late on the 24th and continued into 25th, ending during the evening hours. The heaviest snow occurred over the northern mountains as well as in Boulder. Also, a narrow stretch of heavy snow fell along the base of the foothills west of Fort Collins.
