At 633 AM Local Standard Time, a measured high wind gust of 60 mph was recorded at ASOS station KLGA, LaGuardia Airport, located in East Elmhurst, NY. Additionally, New York City Emergency Management reported a tree down near Astoria Boulevard along 90th Street in Flushing, Queens at 710 AM Local Standard Time.

A tight pressure gradient behind the passage resulted in high winds across Southeastern New York from the evening hours of February 16 through the morning hours of February 17, 2025.
