A measured high wind gust of 58 mph was recorded at a mesonet station located in Peekskill, NY at 1025 AM Local Standard Time. Later in the afternoon at 433 PM, NY Department of Highways reported a tree down with wires and a road closure on route 128 between Cottage Road and Taylor Road in Mount Kisco, NY.

Low pressure and cold front passed through the area during the late afternoon to evening hours of February 16, 2025. A tight pressure gradient behind the passage resulted in high winds across Southeastern New York from the evening hours of February 16 through the morning hours of February 17, 2025.
