Two fisherman were lost at sea when traveling from Eastport to South Addison. They radioed the USCG for assistance and changed course due to rough seas.

An approaching low pressure system on January 18th tightened the pressure gradient over the Gulf of Maine. This caused near gale force winds over the Gulf of Maine, with seas building to near 8 feet.
