Tri-County Electric COOP reported power outages north of Beulaville due to trees and powerlines blown down, affecting over 1,000 customers.

The wider storm

A line of severe convective showers moved through Eastern NC during the mid to late morning, exiting the Outer Banks early in the afternoon. Though no lightning occurred, severe convective winds gusted to 60 mph or greater, producing sporadic to at times widespread tree damage and power outages.
