Tree downed about one-mile northwest of Platea.

Wider weather episode

At the surface, a low drifted eastward across southern Lake Huron during the afternoon through early evening of the 17th. The attendant warm front moved northeastward across the Lake Ontario region and toward the Upper St. Lawrence River Valley. Simultaneously, the attendant cold front moved eastward from southeastern Lower MI and northwest OH to central Lake Erie and north-central OH as northwest PA remained within the warm and humid sector. Scattered multicell thunderstorms impacted northwest PA during the early afternoon through early evening hours. The storms generated isolated straight-line convective wind damage amidst moderate MUCAPE and effective bulk shear, respectively.
