Heavy rains resulting in slides on hwy 199 6 miles southwest of Gasquet, CA. Large rocks it a semi-tractor trailer. Lat. 41.79N, Long. -124.07W.

The wider storm

A strong upper level low moved into the area. On the back side of this low is a strong upper level jet which enhanced area showers. Wash outs and slides were disruptive and destructive to the public.
