A parked plane was blown into another parked plane. The nose of one plane pierced the bottom of a plane parked perpendicular to it. Damage cost was estimated.

The wider storm

A mesoscale convective complex formed within an upper level trough axis centered over the eastern half of the state. Severe thunderstorms developed east of this trough axis and moved south onto the island of Maui.
