Event narrative

Light freezing rain left a glaze of ice on tree limbs in Rocksprings.

Wider weather episode

An area of low pressure along the coast brought precipitation to South-Central Texas. With cold air in place at the surface, warmer air moved over it which led to a period of light freezing rain and sleet for the Hill Country and Edwards Plateau. The result was light icing on elevated surfaces and tree branches.
