National Ocean Service station on Johnnie Mercers Pier measured a sustained wind of 56 mph with a peak gust to 71 mph at 50 ft above mean sea level. The gust was caused by a line of thunderstorms.

A line of storms moved through ahead of a cold front but instability was too minimal to produce much severe weather over land despite an enhanced risk from SPC and a Tornado Watch for the entire area.
