Snowfall totaled 3.4 inches at Sergeant Bluff and 3.2 inches 2 miles west-northwest of Ponca. Visibility was as low as one-half mile for a brief time.

Low to mid-level frontogenesis strengthened ahead of a subtle wave in cyclonic flow aloft to produce an area of snow across northeast Nebraska into northwest Iowa. The highest snowfall of 3 to nearly 6 inches of snow occurred along a narrow band from northeast Nebraska eastward through areas south of Highway 20 in northwest Iowa.
