Event narrative

The Sprague River near Beatty rose above minor flood stage of 8.5 ft. at 25/730 PST, peaked in minor flood stage at 26/145 PST at 9.13 ft. It then fell below flood stage at 26/1645 PST. This produced flooding of structures in the vicinity of the cities of Sprague River and Lone Pine, and widespread agricultural flooding.

Wider weather episode

Three days of heavy rain from a slow moving frontal system and snow melt caused the Sprague River near Beatty to rise above minor flood stage.
