A progressive upper / mid level trough lead to low pressure moving across the Ohio Valley with a secondary low developing just off the coast. This led to an advisory level snowfall across a good portion of Orange and Putnam counties. Also, northern portions of Nassau County on Long Island received around 3 inches.
