Winter precipitation began on the evening on the 20th as a member of the public reported sleet near Friendswood. Precipitation rates increased overnight, becoming predominantly snow during the early morning hours of the 21st, then diminished during the late morning. Reports from the public, a NWS employee and a retired NWS employee showed 2.3-3.0 inches of snowfall across the area. The highest amount was measured in Santa Fe.
