A potent clipper low pressure system impacted southern Vermont late Wednesday, December 4 through Friday December 6, bringing widespread light to moderate and elevation-dependent, heavy snowfall and gusty winds. The heaviest snow fell in the highest elevations of the Southern Greens where upslope enhancement contributed to moderate to heavy accumulations. Peak wind gusts throughout the region generally reached 30 to 40 mph.
