Winter Storm January 21, 2025 – January 22, 2025 · Sampson, North Carolina
What the National Weather Service wrote
Snowfall of 2 to 3 inches county-wide.
The wider storm
A deep upper trough over much of the country brought cold air to our region, which when coupled with a weak surface low passing by to our south, resulted in accumulating snow and ice for the area. Snowfall totals ranged from less than an inch across the western Piedmont and Triad to as much as 2 to 4 inches across the Coastal Plain and I-95 corridor.
