Winds generally gusted 45-60 mph. In Oakham a tree was down on power lines on Scott Rd. In West Brookfield a utility pole was snapped with wires down on Ragged Hill Rd and Lyon Rd.

Wider weather episode

A strong low was centered over the Gulf of Maine on the morning of the 7th creating a tight pressure gradient across southern New England. This led to strong wind gusts generally 45 to 60 mph but as high as 70 mph in the highest elevations of MA.
